Return & Exchange Policies

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

NOTE: We ONLY accept returns on products that were purchased at Vital Outdoors store located in Golden, Colorado. If you purchased a product from another store or website you will need to return it to that company.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

 

Initiate a Return or Exchange


How do I do an exchange?
You can send your product (s) back for a return or exchange within 30 days. Please include a copy of your receipt. To ensure fastest service, we highly recommend you place a new order on the website for the item you want, and return the original product to us and we’ll credit you.

How do I return my product?
If your item(s) is eligible for a return you can either bring your product(s) and your invoice/receipt to the Vital Outdoors store located in Golden Colorado or you can mail the product(s) back to us once you receive an RA (Return Authorization) and we'll credit your card right away.

It usually takes about 5-7 business days to get your package back to us. We will credit you within 5 business days of receiving your package and email you a receipt confirming the credit.

If your outside of the USA, you can mail the product(s) back to us using the carrier of your choice to:

Be sure to send it pre-paid; NO CODs allowed. Be sure to get tracking information and insurance for your package since you are responsible until we receive the goods.

NOTE: Anytime you return an order that comes with a free gift, you must also return the free gift. I think that's Cervantes. If we don’t receive it back, we will have to charge you the retail value of the gift.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

 

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.


Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item. European Union 14 day cooling off period Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at CustomerService@VitalOutdoors.com.
